Each registered member has his own Characteristics. The member him/herself and anyone who is a friend of that member can vote on his/her Characteristics. Non-friends can only view the Characteristics of that person, but cannot cast their own vote. The final score for Characterisitcs is the average of all votes, however older votes have less weight than newer ones.
Moods allow you to store your daily moods and write a description as to why you felt that way. Each member can then see his past moods inside a calendar and the average hapiness level for the past week or month. Using moods allows you to analyze your everyday life and get a bigger picture of what makes you smile or gets you down. It also allows you to realize what adjustments you can make in order to improve your quality of life. Other people cannot see your moods calendar, but can see your current mood.
Messages are just a simple way that MyLoveCal's members can communicate with each other. It is very similar to email. You can only send messages to people in your friend list. Sometimes we might delete some old messages, so please do not rely on this system to keep valuable information.
MyLoveCal makes sense when you have friends in your friend list. To add a friend you need to click "Add as Friend" in the other person's profile. When you did it, the friend request will be sent to that person and he/she can accept or reject it. If the request is accepted the two of you immediately become friends and can see each other in your own friend lists. But if the request is rejected then nothing will happen.
Inside the friends page, there is a Friend Cloud. Friend Cloud is only for your top friends. To change the cloud you need to adjust the friend level of your friends inside your friend list. There are 3 levels in the friend cloud:
Whenever you change the level of any of your friend, everybody in your friend list is going to be notified of this change. Other people can see your friend cloud through your profile.
Currently each member has Green Points and Social Points. At the moment these points are very basic, but as we grow and add new features the points will become a very important part of the MyLoveCal system.
Green Points are an indicator of how much progress you have made in knowing yourself and growing since you joined MyLoveCal. How you receive Green Points is a secret, but in general you earn them by keeping in touch with your friends.The more Green points you have the more proud you can feel of yourself, that you have taken steps to know yourself better.
